Having wheelchairs zipping around like lunatics made the mod even more useful. So I have tried the mod, found that 1,5 seconds lock works best for me, haven't experienced lockings on unwanted targets and I use it since. Not once I ended pressing the auto-aim for who knows how many times (well, once too many for sure) ending with unlocking the target I have actually managed to lock. I found myself not being able to catch targets just a couple of times over a long number of successive attempts but that was enough to put me off, or make me angry cause of the feeling that it always betrays me when it's most important. I somehow had the same issue, is it the mouse, coordination of moves, the way you try to "grab" the enemy tank (do you lead, catch, wait, follow.), clicking twice and hence unlocking him, bad ping, lags, or whatever the reason was. I was having this conversation with other players about the vanilla lock system and many of them struggle using it, finding it buggy. There is a mod in Aslain pack, which makes it a legal one, that you can use to extend the time spent for locking on target. Then you do a fast pop out/pop in.Įdited by snowlywhite, 13 February 2020 - 03:59 AM. You're in safe, you right click on him till you get the lock, everything's fine. the only trick that I can think of, if you still need autoaim sometimes. Autoaim will teach you to overpeek since it aims for the center of the tank.Ģ. You want to peek just a tiny bit, slap him, duck back in cover. what's bad in autoaim(beside not being able to lead): you overpeek in dogfights. Or you can hit it if you're literally 10m from him, case in which you'll be able to trigger autoaim just fine.ġ. you don't really have the gun stabilization to be able to shoot at fast speed(or well, as "fast" as those things go ) and actually hit. The moment when you're using autoaim is on a fast tank, doing a drive by. You'll get bad habit it'll be hard to remove later. As annoying as it sounds.Īlso - don't use autoaim. There's no trick - you'll do it better with time. I remember I had the same problem at the start. Now I'm using a bright green circle (no mod, in game settings), much easier to spot where it is, but won't make it easier to lock on. The default one has little contrast imo, and I struggled to find it sometimes. Is there some kind of lock on key ( like the X key on a certain other game ) a mod? or is it really all down to getting my cursor onto them and right clicking at the exact same time?įor me a real improvement was to change the colour and shape of the pointer. How do you guys manage to get a fast lock onto the enemy tanks? I don't try to use autoaim all the time, but there are times when I would find it useful, so, to my question. Obviously this means that I am not concentrating on dealing with the situation very well as I am distracted by not being able to get a lock, and get punished as a result. Some guys out there seem to lock onto my tank real quick and easy, while I am right clicking like mad and trying to get my cursor onto them and failing, not locking onto them,
